To make people, especially student community, aware about the importance of education for women, District Information Centre, Ramban today organized a debate competition on the topic “Women Education”. Assistant Director Tourism Batote, Mohammad Tariq Naik was chief guest whereas Tourism Officer, R.K Kichlu and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.Sumaila Bano was adjudged as winner while Subila and Asma Nakash secured 2nd and 3rd position respectively in the competition. Trainees from Food Craft Institute Batote of J&K Tourism Department participated in the competition and expressed their valuable views on the topic.Appreciating the role of the Information Department, the Chief Guest, emphasized on the education of women and said that the standard and future of a society, country and community could be assessed by the level of education of its women folk.Besides the competition, a colourful cultural programme was also presented by the local artists and students on the occasion. Prizes were also distributed among the winners.
