The Department of Information and Public Relations in collaboration with the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized a cultural show ‘Rang-a-Rang at Tagore Hall today.The programme was inaugurated by  Joint Director Information Shafaqat Iqbal, who in his welcome speech said that the department has been promoting art and culture and  various programmes are being organised to  promote the local talent . Renowned singers led by Munir Ahmad Mir, presented folk songs in Kashmiri, Urdu, Gojiri, Pahari, Sheena and Dogri and enthralled the audience.  Skits on importance of education, Drug Menace, and ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ were also presented by well known actors of the valley including Farooq Sheikh, Hassan Javaid, Gulzaar Ahmad and others. Deputy Secretary Cultural Academy Shakeel-ur- Rehman, renowed journalist Gh. Hassan Kaloo and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
