A meeting of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held under the Chairmanship of MLA, Bashir Ahmed Dar here today.Legislators, Mubarak Gul, Abdul Majeed Larmi, Asgar Ali Karbalai, Deldan Namgail and Kuldeep Raj attended the meeting and gave their suggestions to improve the working of the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department(CA&PD).The Committee scrutinized the rules, regulations and by-laws framed under various Acts pertaining to Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department and gave their recommendations for safeguarding the interest of consumers.Secretary CA&PD, Mr. Saurabh Bhagat briefed the Committee about the activities of the department and the measures taken by the department with regard to amending various Rules, Laws and Acts besides the working of Legal Metrology department.Director, CA&PD, Jammu, Joint Controller Legal Metrology, Jammu, Municipal Commissioner Jammu, besides other senior officers of concerned departments and Assembly Secretariat were present in the meeting.
