District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Mr. K. R. Ranjan today convened a meeting of officers and executing agencies of Rural Development Department to review the progress achieved in all CD blocks.Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara M. M. Gasi, Assistant Commissioner Development ,District Panchayat officer, all BDOs and REW agencies were present in the meeting.The ADDC, highlighted the progress achieved under Rural Development schemes. It was informed that the department has issued 94235 job cards to rural labour in all 24 CD blocks of the district Kupwara while as 68845 mandays were generated till October, 2015.
The District Development Commissioner, impressed upon the concerned agencies for maintaining the norms and works to be completed within the stipulated time frame so that rural population is able to get the benefits of the schemes of the department. He sought detailed estimates, proposals and work done sheets from the BDOs so that the on-going and completed works are inspected by the third party for certification.Taking stock of the progress under' Indira Awas Yojna (IAY) the meeting was informed that an amount of Rs.1.60 crore were utilized and 125 low cost houses were constructed up to October, 2015 through RDD and under Swach Bharat Mission Rs.3.46 crore stand utilized on execution of 2757 works under Panchay schemes.
