Minister of State for Finance and IT, Pawan Kumar Gupta convened a public grievances redressal camp at village Mand, Udhampur here today. A large number of people from Mand and its adjoining villages attended the camp and put forth their various demands and problems pertaining to electricity, drinking water, roads, ration supply, etc.Gupta gave patient hearing to the people and assured improvement in basic amenities like augmentation of water and electricity supply and improvement of roads in phased manner.While responding to the complaint of insufficient water supply in the Padder and Patha Mohallas, the Minister issued on spot instructions to the Executive Engineer PHE to ensure regular and sufficient potable drinking water supply in the area.As a part of fulfillment of the commitment made with the people, the Minister personally started distribution of food grains on enhanced scale of 35 kgs per family in Govt depot Bikhan gala( Mand). Besides, work on improvement of road from Bikhan gala to Seen Thakran was also started.While speaking on the occasion, Gupta exhorted the people to avail maximum benefit of centrally and state sponsored schemes and emphasized to pledge for opting ambitious Jan Dhan yojana.
