Delhi Book Fair: The Gita, Quran And Sri Guru Granth Sahib Under The Same Roof

The 21st edition of the Delhi Book Fair continues with flourish as school children, teachers and academic authors made their way in the fair today. Apart the plentiful books on literature, history and fiction- the Delhi Book Fair is also the host to a number of academic and intellectual reads. School children accompanied by their teachers shopped for many books and stationery items from the fair. Teachers revealed that the kids especially loved and spent more time at the international stall ‘Grolier’. Grolier is known all around the world for their educational books, encyclopaedias, reference sets and education multimedia tools.The Delhi Book Fair also provides spiritual and religious reads. 

Here, one finds The Gita , The Quran and the Guru Granth under the same roof. The Geeta Press offers editions of the Gita in various languages while one can find the Quran in 74 different languages in ‘Ahmadiya Muslim Jamaat’.Diamond Pocket Books hosted a book release function today which was attended by Mr. Ranjan Mukherjee, Additional Director and General of Doordarshan. K. Pankaj’s new book ‘Samarth Bharat’ was launched Present at the venue were other eminent people from the publishing sector.The Federation of Indian Publishers (F.I.P.) is organizing a drawing competition on 3rd September. The competition is for two age groups- Group 1 (Age 5-10) and Group 2 (Age 11-16). The registration for this competition is deemed to be free of cost. Children are to carry their own colour sets while the drawing sheets will be provided by F.I.P. The drawing competition will be held from 11am to 1pm in the lobby of Hall 10 & 11.
