Abdul Ghani Kohli visits Anantnag, reviews developmental scenario

Minister for Transport, Abdul Ghani Kohli Saturday convened a public meet at Hattigam Sangnad, Khiram area of south Kashmir’s Bijbehara constituency to take stock of the developmental works there and stressed on speedy disposal of public grievances.The Minister while interacting with the locals assured them of all possible help from the government and said that government is committed to the overall development of far-flung areas.The Minister promised that a special bus service would be provided to the people of the Hattigam area so that people from the area remain connected with other parts of the district.The Minister said that all pending issues relating to road connectivity, mobile school, provision of ration depot and solar lights will be addressed. The minister said that government is committed to reach out to people and make planned efforts to address the genuine demands of the people.

Later, in the day Minister held a meeting with the District Development Commissioner Anantnag Muneer-ul-Islam, in which the minister stressed upon government functionaries to work with dedication for the disposal of public grievances. The meeting was also attended by various officer including Regional Transport Officer Kashmir, Mahmood Ahmad Shah, SSP Anantnag Abdul Jabbar, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Anantnag, and others.The Minister also visited the Anantnag office complex of the State Road Transport Corporation and Assistant Regional transport office to take stock of the their functioning and stressed upon the need of strengthening the transport department.
