Continuing its efforts to safeguard the future and empower the Mahila of Kashmir, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) officially launched ‘Suraksha Bandhan Scheme’ and distributed hundreds of forms free of cost among them here.The BJP’s Kashmir Unit has also pooled the money to pay Rs 201 as scheme charges towards the banks. Speaking on the occasion, BJP National Vice-President Ashiya Jaswal said that the initiative was taken by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to provide financial security to the crores of women folk of the country, in case of any untoward incident.Other senior party workers of Mahila Morcha including- National In-charge Mahila Morch Reshma Sood, State Secretary Mumta Singh, President Chandigarh, Sunita Ji, State President Mahila Morcha, Dr Darakshan Anderabi and dozens of party workers were present on the occasion.
The leaders appealed to secure the future of beloved sisters in present social setup and appealed the people to gift ‘Suraksha Bandhan Scheme’ this Raksha Bandhan festival.BJP media in-charge Kashmir, Altaf Thakur said, on Raksha Bandhan festival, sisters tie rakhi (sacred thread) on her brother(s) wrist to symbolize her love and prayers for brother(s) well-being, and the brother(s) lifelong vow to protect her. “Usually, brothers give chocolates and other gift items to sister(s) on this festival, which is temporary,” Thakur said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi have created a scheme to ensure a lifelong gift to a sister from her brother(s).
Thakur said the festival is to be celebrated on 29th of this month across India and BJP’s Kashmir unit has started a campaign to reach to the people- especially under privileged class to get benefit from this centrally sponsored scheme.Elaborating the scheme, Thakur said, instead of gifting a chocolate of hundreds of rupees to your beloved sister, just deposit or handover a cheque of Rs 201 to secure her future. The scheme would not only cover her insurance facilities on nominal amount, but would also facilitate other major benefits for her future financial security.“This scheme is available with all the leading and small bank branches across India and to avail the benefits approach your nearest bank branch,” he said.This festival would be good occasion to re-double our efforts to facilitate a large number of people across Kashmir, he added.
