Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) President and Awami Mutihada Mahaz (AMM) leader Monday said cancellation of NSA level talks between India and Pakistan has caused disappointment among those involved in strengthening Indo-Pak peace process. In a statement to KNS, Hakim Yasin said, “Cancelling the talks on the pretext of Hurriyat leaders meeting visiting Pakistan NSA Sartaj Aziz at the High Commission of that country in New Delhi is bizarre.

Separatists have been visiting Pak High Commission regularly on Eid Milans and on Pakistan Day and there is nothing nee in their visit this time.”“It is unfortunate that the peace process has been once again derailed.

Kashmiris are the basic party to the dispute and their inclusion in any dialogue process is a must. Cancellation of proposed talks between will only oblige those who want to undermine the peace process. It will promote the fundamentalists and extremists on both sides of the border to widen the wedge between the two neighbouring countries,” the PDF chief said.Hakim Yasin, who is MLA Khansahib, added that it is Kashmiris who is the worst sufferer because of hostilities between the two countries.“Kashmiris have been always favouring talks and amity between India and Pakistan as they are the direct beneficiaries of peace. We appeal leadership of India and Pakistan not to fall prey to domestic partisan pressures and rise to the occasion and face the challenges which the entire region is facing by initiating composite dialogue process at the earliest,” the AMM leader demanded.
