District Development Commissioner Ramban, Farooq Shah Bukhari convened a meeting of district officers and discussed Arrangements for celebration of Independence Day here today.SSP Ramban, Randeep Kumar , ADDC, Ravinder Sadhu, ADC, Babu Ram, ACR Tahir Firdous Dutta, CPO, Parshotam Kumar,Executive Engineers of PHE, PDD, PWD, (R&B), ACD , Officers of IRP, CRP, BSF, Army, Traffic Police, District Youth Services and Sports, Principals of Government Schools and Heads of the Private Educational Institutions were present in the meeting.The main function will be held in the premises of District Police Line Ground, at Chandrog in Ramban where the VIP would unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the March Past.The DDC directed all the sectoral officers to ensure their active participation to make the celebration a big success. The issues regarding security, seating arrangements, drinking water and electricity supply, barricading, full dress rehearsal, traffic regulation, refreshment to the students after the rehearsal and main function and illumination around the venue and offices, medical, sanitation and other emergencies, arrangements were discussed.DDC also constituted various committees for organising and monitoring different arrangements like cultural programme, award committee for identification of meritorious students in different fields etc.
