Punjab To Unveil Traders’ Policy On November 14-Sukhbir Badal

Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the new Traders’ Policy aiming at abolishing the Inspector Raj would be unveiled on November 14.Speaking to the media after laying the foundation stone of ROB at village Bhadla near Mandi Gobindgarh at a cost of Rs. 30 Crore, the Deputy Chief Minister said that under the new policy, the entire work would go paperless and all sanctions required by the traders could be secured online. “The new policy would ensure that traders would not have to visit any government office for any purpose including payments and sales tax purposes,” adding further he said that within next six months, the state would get rid of this unwanted traditional exercise and administrative compulsion.

To a query on giving any relief to the traders of Punjab, Mr. Badal said that he has already urged the industrialists and traders’ to send their proposals to the government which would be examined and implemented in the interest of both industrialists and traders’. Mr. Badal said that Punjab has taken a proactive step to facilitate investment in the state by offering maximum incentives, compared to other states.

Mr Badal said that the state was on the fast track of development and within next three years all major roads would be having four or six lanes. The Deputy Chief Minister said that Punjab would soon herald a revolution of industrialization. He said that our efforts to bring industry in the state would be further supplemented if the NDA was voted to power at centre.Listing the achievements of the state government, the Deputy Chief Minister said that due to the stupendous efforts of the state government, Punjab would soon become a power surplus state by the end of this year. He said that a health insurance scheme for the people was also on cards under which they would be entitled for get free treatment upto Rs 1.50 lakh.Prominent amongst others who were spoke on the occasion included Charnjit Singh Atwal Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Sharnjit Singh Dhillon PWD minister, Prem Singh Chandumajra ex MP, Ranjeet Singh Talwandi ex MLA, Joginderpal Singla Chairman Districr Planning Committee Fatehgarh Sabib and Jagdeep Singh Cheema district president.
