Sagar announces one model village per block, Rs. 10 lakh under NRLM per Panchayat

As a part of ensuring the sustained development of the Rural and far flung areas of the state, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar today announced one Model village per block of the state, besides Rs. 75000 per Panchayat, Rs. 50000 for repair and renovation of the existing Panchayat Ghars in addition to the already released funds and as a part of National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Rs. 10 lakh to every Panchayat of the state for developmental initiatives.The Minister was addressing a huge public gathering at Rajouri today. Minister of State for Health, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan, Minister of State for Technical Education, Power, Mr. Vikar Rasool, MLAs, Rashpal Singh, MLC Sham Lal, Bhagat, Director Rural Development Jammu, Mr. Shafiq Raina, Deputy Commissioner and senior officers of district administration were present on the occasion.

Sagar said that the government has ensured empowerment of people at grass root levels by putting in place a vibrant Panchayati Raj system which has ensured that the people at ground level are empowered and included in day to day governance. He said now certain parties are getting frustrated by the achievements registered by coalition in social, economical and political fields and are now trying to spread rumours for misleading the people.The Minister said that in order to address the problems of unemployment, the government has initiated various schemes like Udaan, Himayat and also setup an Entrepreneur Development Institute which would provide all the necessary support to the prospective entrepreneurs to set up their industrial units. He said besides these other schemes have also been introduced.Sagar said that in order to ensure the proper implementation of the developmental programmes, a mechanism has been put in place to ensure that these are properly implemented, so that the benefit reaches the targeted populace.

Minister of State for Health, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan while speaking on the occasion highlighted the developmental initiatives undertaken by the government for ensuring that the sustained development is ensured in the state especially rural and far flung areas.Minister of State for Technical Education, Power, Mr. Vikar Rasool while speaking on the occasion said that the people should come forward and avail maximum benefit of various centrally and state sponsored schemes as they have been instrumental in changing the socio-economic profile of the people living in different states of the country.Legislators, Rashpal Singh, Sham Lal Bhagat also spoke on the occasion.
