Hitting out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G)  Syed Ali Geelani Wednesday reiterated his opposition to “composite townships”  for displaced Pandits in the Kashmir region.Addressing a mammoth gathering at Hyderpora soon after his retun from New Delhi after three months and 7 days, Geelani said the “hands of Modi are soaked with the blood of 3000 Muslims of Gujarat”.In an apparent reference to Modi’s alleged role in 2002 Gujarat riots, Geelani said: “The mindset in India is that whosoever kills Muslims, we will make him Prime Minister; whosoever rapes Muslims, we will make him Prime Minister…” Geelani said the RSS “mindset” in India is harmful to Muslims.

Lashing out at Chief Minister Mufti Sayed for calling Kashmir “crown of India”, Geelani said: “I saw Kashmir is not India’s crown and instead India has devastated Kashmir…”

He said Mufti is taking about the resolution of Kashmir but alleged that he is betraying people in the name of Kashmir resolution. Questioning the CM, he said: “Do you accept Right of Self Determination or Indian military occupation of Kashmir…?He said they, the pro-India leaders, want resistance leaders and Pakistan to accept the status quo.  Geelani said that Mufti and other pro-India leaders are “betraying people and stand for maintaining status quo but we won’t accept status quo”.Opposing proposed “composite townships” for migrant Pandits, Geelani said they should return to their native places and live along with their Muslim neighbours. “Instead of 20 lakhs, give them 30 lakhs for rebuilding their houses…but we won’t like separate zones for them,” he said, adding: “Pandits are our brothers and sisters and we want to live with them like we have had lived since centuries.” He said some ministers in Mufti government want to replace “our composite culture with unique culture” and said “it is unacceptable”.

Geelani, who was flanked by senior Hurriyat leaders, condemned the killing of two youth in Tral and reiterated his call for Tral March on Friday.Geelani said India and its local ‘puppets’ want people of Jammu and Kashmir to forgot sacrifices rendered by them since 1947 till date. He said there is no match of sacrifices of Kashmiris.Hurriyat chairman said the “forced occupation” of India is the “cause of all problems”. “Change of governments won’t bring change but real change would occur only when India’s forced occupation would end in entire disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, adding: “Jammu and Kashmir is under the military occupation of India and we reject this occupation,” he said.He said the struggle would continue till the achievement of Right to Self Determination as guaranteed by United Nations.  Geelani, as usual, invoked Jawahar Lal Nehru’s promise of plebiscite to Kashmir people in Lal Chowk. He advocated Right to Self Determination for people of all religions and regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Geelani rejected Lahore and Simla agreements between India and Pakistan.

The Hurriyat chairman said people of India are “our brothers and sisters” on the basis of humanity. Similarly, Geelani said, people of Pakistan are our brothers and sisters as “we have both religious as well as human relations with them”.He announced that the Hurriyat would organize seminars to aware people about RSS designs in the Valley.Meanwhile, Geelani expressed sympathy with the relatives of those who died in recent landslides in Laden, Charar-e-Shareef and at other places.
