Leh , 07 Oct 2013

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State President Ravinder Raina held Congress Party and National Conference responsible for  the continuous discrimination against Ladakh region. Addressing the rally at Sakti village of Kharu block in district Leh, Raia said Congress party who is a coalition partner with NC  in State and leading the UPA government at centre, failed to provide justice to the people of Ladakh as the region still lacks the  basic amenities and sufferings and the miseries of common man living in the region are increasing day by day and the Congress minister from the region has nothing to do with the problems being faced by the people of Ladakh, he added.  He said like Jammu, Ladakh too has been subjected to discrimination and the long pending demand of granting Union Territory status to Ladakh is the only solution to end this discrimination. He said the continuous ignorance of Ladakh region is responsible for forcing down the throat of the Ladakhis the demand for UT, He expressed anguish over the ignorance of educated Ladakhi youth and demanded special employment package for them and asked the government to immediately established an examination  centre of service selection Board in Leh. He said  BJYM will continue its fight to provide justice to the Ladakhi youth. Casting at Nawang Rigzin Zora, Raina said by joining Congress for his own personal benefits Zora betrayed the people of Ladakh as the demand for UT Status derailed after Zora joind Congress to get the Cabinet birth. He said Congress has nothing to do with the common man  and asked the youth to uproot Congress from the region.

On this occasion BJP National executive member and former MP Thupstang Siwang  asked the people to get united to  achieve the Union territory Status for Ladakh. He said, only BJP  can solve the problems of Ladakhi people as the party stood with region during the difficult time. He said, had the the successive State governments treated the people of regions equally and fairly, there would not have been demand for Union territory status to Ladakh but the successive state governments ignored the Ladakh deliberately and this discrimination forced the people of Ladakh to raise the voice for UT Status. He said "there is dire need of basic facilities like electricity, drinking water, proper roads, communication connectivity, health care facilities, educational institutions and professional and technical institutions

But NC-Congress failed to solve these basic problems and asked the people to teach them a lession in upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He  said  the  Central Government funding should be directly forwarded to the Hill Council so as to save the time of processing it takes in bureaucratic set up of the State and the direct funding is also necessitated keeping in view the short duration of season since the freezing period starts early in Ladakh region.  BJP Leh district President Tsering Dorgey asked the Ladakhi youth to throw out Corrupt  and  anti people Congress government out of power and strengthen the hands of Mr.Narinder Modi by  winning the Ladakh seat for BJP in coming parliament election. BJP acting President  Councilor Lama ji, Councilor Gayal Wangyal, BJYM State spokesman Jamyang Tsering Namgyal , BJYM district President Dorje Anchuk also addressed the gathering.
