While reacting to the three conditions laid out by Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) especially that any party that aspires to have coalition with it in Jammu & Kashmir has to agree that no compromise will be made on the sovereignty of India, Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) President and MLA Langate Engineer Rashid made it clear that same tantamount to accepting Kashmir as disputed.
Addressing a public gathering at Haril Langate he said, “In no other state BJP lays a prerequisite to a regional party to accept that no compromise will be made on sovereignty as has been laid out in case of Jammu & Kashmir which signifies that BJP is tacitly accepting Kashmir as a disputed territory. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed by talking that he won’t compromise on any dilution to Article 370 is actually rubbing salts to the wounds of Kashmiris.”
“Mufti Sayeed should talk with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on implementing his self rule and it is final resolution of Kashmir dispute which matters most to people of Kashmir. How can PDP align with such a communal party that is having poisonous communal agenda in form of ‘Ghar Wapsi’ and ‘Betey achav and Bahu laav’ and all this is a new low in polity,” the MLA Langate said.He rubbished BJP assertion that Jammu region has been discriminated and said, “It is the Valley of Kashmir that in last so many decades has seen sea of suffering and pain on account of lingering conflict while as Jammu has had a merry ride.”
