The Congress Tuesday sought to put the Narendra Modi government on mat over the rape of a Delhi woman by a cab driver, claiming it was speaking in different voices over the issue and did not have any common roadmap to tackle such incidents."Before polls, the BJP made atrocities against women a big issue. They had assured that the rape cases would be stopped," Congress spokesperson Shobha Oza told the media here.Noting that Modi had before the polls said that Congress had made Delhi "the rape capital", she said: "I want to ask him whether in the last six months, BJP government hasn't made it a super rape capital." "Everyday around four rape cases are being registered. The entire country, specially women, want to know what is being done for their safety," Oza said.

A 25-year-old business analyst was raped in a taxi by its driver while she was on her way home Dec 5.The Congress spokesperson said that women's safety did not feature in the 10 focal points of the Modi government listed out by the prime minster in parliament."The government is talking in different voices on the issue. There is no common roadmap. The things promised like the rape crises management centres have not been set up yet," she added.Oza also raised the issue of the Chattisgarh sterilization deaths and demanded a Cenbtral Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the incident.
