Asia’s biggest grain market “Khanna” would play host to the Fifth Kabaddi World Cup 2014 matches for the first time tomorrow. As Khanna would be hosting the Kabaddi World Cup matches for the first time, there is huge enthusiasm amongst the town residents. Punjab Irrigation Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon would be the chief guest on the occasion. Eminent Punjabi singer and Actor Sarabjit Cheema would enthral the audience.A total of four matches- two each from men and women section would be played tomorrow. Four time winner Indian men team would start its journey of Kabaddi World Cup 2014 from Khanna town of Ludhiana district. Whereas the first time participants, Azerbaijan women team will also compete against Denmark tomorrow.

At Khanna, the matches would start at 12 noon. The first match will be of Pool “A” and will be played between women section teams of Azerbaijan and Denmark. Second match of men section will also be of Pool “A” and would be played between men section teams of Australia and Iran. This match would be interesting as both these teams have won one matches each and the result of this match would clear the standings of Pool “A” men section. Iran had defeated USA while Australia had defeated Spain earlier.Third match of the day would be played between Pool “B” women section teams of Pakistan and England. After losing the first match to New Zealand, the English team would try hard to make a comeback as this would be an important match for them.Last and fourth match of the day would be between Pool “A” teams of men section in which four time World champions, India would take on Spain. For clinching the title for fifth time, the Indian team would like to make a winning start this time while Spain would also like to open its account after its first defeat in an earlier match.
