DP (N) patron, Ghulam Hassan Mir Monday appealed people to come in a big way to vote for the development of the state. In a statement to KNS he said boycott politics only pushes the developmental activities on the back seat. He said that some mainstream political parties are taking the advantage of boycott and called upon the people to give them befitting reply by exercising their franchise.Mir was addressing an election really at Teligam, Pattan this afternoon. He asked the people to judge the development of those constituencies that opt for boycott as the candidate who wins under the garb of boycott does not deliver on the ground resulting in further suffering of the people on every front.Asking the people not to waste their precious vote on ‘hollow slogans’, Mir said the world is moving very fast in education, communication, health, civic facilities and other development activities adding ”we have to work harder to compete with such pace. He said in States’ democratic setup, you get a chance after every six years to elect able political representative for the development of your respective constituencies adding such opportunities should be availed with both hands and not let go waste.”

The DPN patron claimed Pattan bears testimony to the fact that the people of the area have never seen their representative to address to the day to day grievances, and this constituency lacks in basic facilities. He said time has come to vote for change to make Pattan at par with other developed constituencies.Appealing the people of the constituency to come in a big way to elect the young, energetic candidate of DPN, Bashrat Ahmad who has made every effort during the last four years to highlight developmental needs, and other problems of Pattan in every forum for early redressal.
