Encounter ends in South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Friday. Reports said that A local militant was killed during a gunfight with government force fierce gun battle.The encounter started late Thursday evening, official sources said. The Militants exchanged fire with forces in Chorus area in the district's Awantipora village.Reports suggested that a local militant Reyaz Ahmad Naikoo from Beighpur who is said to be a millitant of Hizbul Mujahideen militants outfit has been killed during the encounter.The fire exchange, sources said, began after forces including police's Special Operation Group and army 42 and 55 Rashtriya rifles launched a search operation in the village.In a meantime, two militants were hiding in the village and one of them is trapped in a house. The exchange of fire was going on when the report was being filed.
