Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday dismissed the Prime Minister's assurance of bringing a law in Parliament to establish fast track courts for paper leak cases as hollow and misleading. Citing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s reported submission in court declaring the mastermind of the 2024 NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) paper leak case innocent, Arvind Kejriwal argued that the government's own actions had undermined its promise within hours.

Questioning the purpose of fast track courts if investigating agencies fail to present evidence, he called out the Modi Government for shielding those responsible for paper leaks instead of ensuring accountability. AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated, "At midnight on Thursday, PM Narendra Modi released a video telling the entire country that a law would be introduced in Parliament on Monday to establish fast track courts for paper leak cases.

How hollow and false that assurance is was proved on Thursday itself.” He shared, “When the NEET paper was leaked in 2024, the government claimed that a man named Sanjeev Mukhiya was the mastermind. The government arrested him with great fanfare, but within three months of his arrest, it ensured that he got bail and he was released from jail.

The case against him then proceeded." The AAP Chief added, "At 1:30 pm on Thursday, a PTI report stated that the CBI had told the court that Sanjeev Mukhiya was innocent. The CBI said it had found no evidence against Sanjeev Mukhiya and therefore he should be released.

If, according to the CBI, Sanjeev Mukhiya is not the mastermind, then who is the mastermind? The CBI has not named any mastermind. That means, according to them, nobody leaked the 2024 paper. Is this how you intend to function even after setting up fast track courts?"

Referring to the Prime Minister's post on X, Arvind Kejriwal said, "At 9:30 am on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also posted on X saying that he would establish fast track courts. Just a few hours later, at 1:30 pm, the PTI report said that the CBI had let the mastermind go.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, if your CBI does not present evidence before the court, then what is the purpose of these fast track courts? Why do you want to protect the paper leak mafia? Why are you giving the country such false and hollow assurances?"

He emphasised, "The youth of the entire country are suffering. Students have died by suicide, yet you continue to make such hollow promises. Have you taken even a single step to ensure that the NEET paper is not leaked next year? No step has been taken.

This time the paper was leaked and several students died by suicide. Next time the paper will be leaked again, while you continue talking about setting up fast track courts. What purpose will these fast track courts serve?" Arvind Kejriwal concluded by stating, "Fast track courts already exist for POCSO (Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences) and rape cases, yet even those cases take years.

PM Modi, if your intention is to let the masterminds of the paper leak mafia go free, if you do not want to collect evidence, if you do not want to conduct a proper investigation, if you want to secure bail for them and get them released from jail, then what exactly will these fast track courts achieve? PM Modi, the problem lies in your intentions.”
