Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma visited the designated lodgement centre at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Rajouri to review the arrangements made for families displaced due to the recent flash floods. ‎‎The Deputy Commissioner inspected the facilities being provided at the centre, where 95 families comprising 425 persons have been accommodated in nine halls.

He interacted with the inmates, enquired about their well-being and the services being provided, and assured them that the district administration is making every effort to ensure their comfort, safety and welfare during their stay. ‎‎The inmates expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the district administration, including the provision of food, drinking water, electricity, sanitation, healthcare and other essential services.

‎‎During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure that all necessary facilities continue to be provided without interruption and instructed them to remain responsive to the needs and concerns of the affected families.

‎‎Nodal Officer for the lodgement centre, District Statistical and Evaluation Officer (DSEO) Sandeep Sharma, briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the facilities and services being provided at the centre. He informed that adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure the comfort and well-being of all inmates.

‎‎The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the district administration stands firmly with the affected families and is committed to providing all possible assistance until normalcy is fully restored. Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner also visited the lodgement centre at Jawahar Nagar and interacted with the inmates temporarily shifted there.
