District Administration Bandipora registered a 1-0 victory over Legends FC Bandipora in an exhibition match played as part of the "Break the Chain Football Tournament". The tournament is being organised by Ali's Sports Academy in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora and District Football Association Bandipora under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, with the aim of promoting sports and spreading awareness against drug abuse among youth.

The opening half witnessed an evenly contested encounter, with both teams displaying impressive football and creating several scoring opportunities. The second half was equally competitive before District Administration Bandipora found the breakthrough.

Ishfaq Ahmad scored the first goal of the match. Legends FC Bandipora had a golden opportunity to level the score after being awarded a penalty in the second half, but failed to convert it, allowing District Administration Bandipora to seal a 1-0 victory.

Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Chib Kanwal, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while DySP Operations, Vasu Agarwal was the guest of honour. Chairman of Ali's Sports Academy and Padma Shri awardee Faisal Ali Dar was also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the organisers for conducting the tournament and engaging youth in sports. She said such initiatives provide a constructive platform for young people and encourage them to lead healthy and disciplined lives.

The organisers said the tournament aims to promote football while reinforcing the message of a drug-free society through sports. They expressed gratitude to the District Administration Bandipora, Municipal Council Bandipora, Bandipora Police, Jal Shakti Department and Health Department for their support in the successful conduct of the event.
