"Swami Vivekananda's message of patriotism, self-confidence, discipline and service to humanity continues to inspire generations. The youth must imbibe his teachings to build a strong, united and progressive India," said, MLA Jammu East Constituency, Yudhvir Sethi while paying floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda on the occasion of his Punya Tithi at Vivekananda Chowk in Jammu on Saturday.

The floral tribute programme was organised by senior BJP leader Bharat Bhushan Sharma, the Vivekananda Chowk Shopkeepers Association and the BJP Sanskritik Art and Culture Cell, Jammu and Kashmir. Members of the Vivekananda Chowk Shopkeepers Association, including Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Kamal Sharma, Mohan Lal Gupta, Sunil Dogra, Pankaj Mahajan and other prominent members, offered floral tributes to the great spiritual leader and philosopher.

The event was attended by BJP Jammu District President Rajesh Gupta, BJP Sanskritik Art and Culture Cell Convenor Narinder Singh, Co-Convenor Vinod Bhalla, Jammu District Secretary Parveen Kerni, Mandal President Adarsh Jathiar, Mandal General Secretary Harvinder Singh, OBC Morcha District President Arun Sethi and senior BJP leader Govind Sareen, besides a large number of local residents and party workers.

Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said Swami Vivekananda's vision of nation-building through education, character and spiritual strength remains as relevant today as ever. He called upon people, especially the younger generation, to uphold the values of integrity, social harmony and selfless service propagated by the revered saint.

Yudhvir Sethi further said that Swami Vivekananda always emphasized that the true strength of a nation lies in its enlightened and morally upright youth. He urged young people to channel their energy towards education, innovation, social responsibility and national service instead of being distracted by negative influences. 

Calling upon everyone to imbibe the saint's teachings in their daily lives, Sethi said that the greatest tribute to Swami Vivekananda would be to build a society based on compassion, unity, discipline and dedication to the nation. Rajesh Gupta and Bharat Bhushan Sharma also paid rich tributes to Swami Vivekananda and highlighted his immense contribution to India's cultural and spiritual heritage. 

They said his teachings continue to guide society towards unity, moral values and national pride. The programme concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to spreading Swami Vivekananda's ideals and working collectively for the welfare of society and the nation.
