Haryana Chief Minister,  Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on late Thursday evening attended the Haryana Super-100 Felicitation Programme held in Chandigarh on Thursday evening. Congratulating the meritorious students of the Haryana Super-100 Scheme on their outstanding achievements, he made two major announcements.

The Chief Minister said that 25 new centres would be added to the existing 103 centres being run under the Buniyaad Scheme, enabling a larger number of talented students across the state to receive quality academic guidance. He also announced that the Super-100 Centre in Kurukshetra would be provided with 100 new computers.

Union Minister for Power,  Sh. Manohar Lal was also present on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that he could see before him the bright future of a new India. He said that the students of Haryana Super-100 had demonstrated through their hard work, determination and dedicated effort that they possess the ability to change the destiny of the nation.

He said that by clearing the IIT-JEE examination, regarded as one of the country's most prestigious and challenging competitive examinations, these meritorious students had proved that if one's resolve is strong, every obstacle can be overcome and exceptional results can be achieved. The Chief Minister extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the successful students, their parents and their teachers on this remarkable achievement.

He said that the Haryana Super-100 Scheme was launched with the conviction that financial constraints and lack of resources should never become obstacles in the path of any meritorious student. The objective of the scheme, he said, is to ensure that talented students across the state receive opportunities commensurate with their abilities.

He added that the programme is fulfilling this objective by providing students studying in government schools, particularly those from rural backgrounds, with better opportunities to pursue higher education. Expressing special satisfaction, the Chief Minister said that girls featured prominently among the successful candidates.

He added that these young achievers would serve as a source of inspiration for other girls across the state and that their accomplishments were a matter of pride for society. He also commended the teachers associated with the Haryana Super-100 programme, saying they had imparted not only classroom knowledge but had also awakened confidence and self-belief in the students, enabling them to scale new heights.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has envisioned India becoming a developed nation by 2047. He added that the magnificent edifice of a developed India would be built by talented, capable and technologically proficient young people like the students present at the programme.

Their intellect, innovation and spirit of discovery, he said, would play a vital role in realising the vision of Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, he said. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that students of Haryana Super-100 would continue to bring laurels to Haryana and the nation at both the national and international levels through their talent, hard work and innovation.
