Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday joined devotees at the grand ‘Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’ Bhajan Sandhya programme organised by the Punjab Government in Gurdaspur, where he said the Bhagwant Mann Government has done more for Sanatan Dharma than any government in the past.
Calling himself fortunate to have had the opportunity to announce the construction of a grand temple dedicated to Lord Ram’s sons, Luv and Kush, he also appealed to people to pray for the early release of Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora, who has been jailed in a false case, so that he can once again serve the people.
Welcoming devotees, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated, "Today's ‘Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’ programme has been organised by the CM Bhagwant Mann Government. A few days ago, this programme was held in Jalandhar, on Saturday it was organised in Amritsar, and today we have reached Gurdaspur.
These days, so many people are telling me the same thing that no political party or government has done as much for Sanatan Dharma in Punjab. Everyone is saying that Sanatan Dharma has found a major platform in Punjab." Announcing five pieces of good news, he shared, "The Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam series, which began in Jalandhar, reached Amritsar and has now come to Gurdaspur, will now be organised in all 22 cities of Punjab.
For the first time, bhajan evenings dedicated to Sanatan Dharma are being organised on such a large scale across the entire state." Sharing the second announcement, the AAP Chief said, "The second good news concerns the Kali Mata Mandir in Patiala, which holds immense religious significance.
People's wishes are fulfilled there and their sorrows are eased. The Bhagwant Mann Government is spending ₹80 crore to transform the Mandir into a magnificent place of worship. The work is progressing rapidly, and I have personally seen the architectural model.
The grandandir will be completed by September. I urge everyone to visit after October for Mata's darshan. You will truly enjoy the experience." Announcing the third good news, Arvind Kejriwal said, "The third good news is about the Mukh Mantri Teerath Yatra Yojna.
At present, it has two routes, one to Sri Darbar Sahib and the other to Sri Anandpur Sahib. Everything under this ‘teerath’ is free. People travel in luxurious air-conditioned Volvo buses, stay in good air-conditioned hotels, and only need to carry four days' worth of clothes from home.
The government bears every other expense. From 1 August, three new routes will be added. The first will cover Salasar and Khatu Shyam Ji, the second Haridwar and Rishikesh, and the third Mathura Ji and Vrindavan Dham. Around 1.5 lakh pilgrims are expected to travel on these three routes."
Announcing the fourth good news, he added, "The fourth good news is about the remarkable theatrical production ‘Hamare Ram’. It portrays dialogues between Bhagwan Shri Ram and Ravan at different points in time and presents several episodes from Bhagwan Ram's life that many people may never have heard before.
The play will be staged in different cities across Punjab from 1 August. Renowned actor Ashutosh Rana plays the lead role. I first watched this play in Delhi, where tickets cost ₹8,000. For the people of Punjab, however, it will be completely free. This too is being arranged by CM Bhagwant Mann."
Sharing the fifth announcement, the AAP Supremo said, "Holy city of Amritsar is home to the Teerath Sthal of Bhagwan Valmiki. We all know that Mata Sita lived in Bhagwan Valmiki's Ashram. Luv and Kush were born there and also received their education there.
When Bhagwan Ram released the horse for the Ashwamedha Yagna, it was there that Luv and Kush stopped it. Since this is such a sacred place, a grand and magnificent Mandir dedicated to Luv Kush and Mata Janaki will be built next to the Bhagwan Valmiki Mandir."
Referring to his recent visit to Ayodhya, he continued, "Only on Friday, I returned from Ayodhya after offering prayers to Bhagwan Ram at Ram Lalla Mandir. Today, I have been fortunate enough to announce the construction of a Mandir in the name of His sons."
Concluding his address with an appeal to the gathering, Arvind Kejriwal said, "Our beloved leader and minister Sanjeev Arora has been sent to jail in a false case in a completely unjust manner. Today, as all of you have come here to pray to Bhagwan Shiva, I request you all to pray and seek His blessings for Sanjeev Arora's early release so that he can return to us, continue his work, and serve the people.”
