BJP National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh said that the promise made by Arvind Kejriwal to Punjab's mothers, sisters and daughters in 2021 remains unfulfilled even after 52 months. He said that the Bhagwant Mann government has offered nothing except repeated deadlines in the name of women's dignity. From March 2022 to October 2022, January 2023, November 2023, April 2025, January 2026 and now another fresh announcement, Punjab's women have been continuously misled.
Chugh said that women in Punjab no longer want fresh announcements; they are demanding their full dues. Chugh said that every eligible woman in Punjab is now owed nearly Rs 53,000 and lakhs of women are demanding every rupee that was promised to them.
He said that shifting from Rs 1,100 per month to Rs 1,000 and now announcing Rs 3,000 cannot hide 52 months of broken promises. He said this is not women empowerment but a carefully orchestrated political deception against the women of Punjab.
Chugh said that a Chief Minister who has been declared a Guru Dhokhi by Sri Akal Takht Sahib and against whom a social boycott has been ordered has no moral right to remain in office even for a moment. He said Bhagwant Mann himself had demanded an independent inquiry into the video and it has now been established that the video was neither AI-generated nor tampered with in any manner.
Chugh added that Punjab's ministers, MLAs and officers are now caught in a dilemma over whether to honour the directives of Sri Akal Takht Sahib or submit to Bhagwant Mann's political pressure. He said that a person who challenges the sanctity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib established by Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji cannot lead Punjab.
Chugh said that in a state where drugs have become the biggest challenge, the Chief Minister is adopting new political tactics every day to divert public attention. He said that first, protests were organised outside the homes of those raising their voices and now fresh announcements are being used to distract people from the real issues, but the people of Punjab have understood the truth.
Chugh added that BJP National President Nitin Nabin's leadership has infused fresh enthusiasm, energy and confidence among BJP workers in Punjab. He said that the party organisation is rapidly strengthening and nothing can stop political change in Punjab in 2027.
The people of Punjab want freedom from false promises, anarchy and political deception, and the BJP is committed to building a secure, prosperous and dignified future for the state.
