23rd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana released

Rs 319.13 crore transferred to more than 15.95 lakh beneficiary farmers in Haryana

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, India's agricultural sector has undergone unprecedented transformation over the past 12 years. Following the Prime Minister's vision, the Haryana Government has undertaken several significant initiatives to enhance farmers' income, expand irrigation facilities, promote natural farming, encourage crop diversification, and integrate modern technology into agriculture.

The Chief Minister was addressing the state-level 'PM Kisan Utsav Diwas' programme organized in Panchkula today, as the Chief Guest.Earlier, the Chief Minister, along with farmers, listened to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi's live address from Tarakeswar, Hooghly, West Bengal. 

During the programme, the Prime Minister released the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), transferring more than Rs 18,880 crore directly into the bank accounts of over 9.44 crore beneficiary farmers across the country.

Out of this amount, Rs 319.13 crore was credited to the bank accounts of 15,95,644 beneficiary farmers in Haryana, providing substantial financial support to the state's farming community. Under the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, an amount of Rs 3.56 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of 17,819 beneficiary farmers in Panchkula district.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi on behalf of the farmers of Haryana, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that with the release of the 23rd installment today, a total of Rs 7,881.60 crore has been transferred to the state's farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. 

He said that this assistance is being credited directly into farmers' bank accounts without any middlemen, commissions, or recommendations.The Chief Minister said that these funds reflect the nation's respect and gratitude towards its annadatas (food providers). 

They symbolize the government's commitment to safeguarding the interests and welfare of those who tirelessly serve Mother Earth and contribute to the country's food security. He expressed special gratitude to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi for placing farmers' welfare at the forefront of governance and policy-making.

Nayab Singh Saini said that there was a time when farmers had to make repeated visits to government offices to avail themselves of benefits and services. However, technology-driven governance has transformed the system. Today, farmers receive their rightful benefits directly in their bank accounts with complete transparency and dignity. 

He said that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi firmly believes that a strong farmer is the foundation of a strong India, and this vision has provided a new direction and momentum to the country's agricultural sector.The Chief Minister further stated that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, India is steadily emerging as a leading global power. 

He attributed this achievement to the Prime Minister's unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, tireless dedication spanning more than 4,400 days in office, and his steadfast resolve to place national interest above all else.The Chief Minister reaffirmed the Haryana Government's commitment to empowering farmers and making them prosperous, self-reliant, and progressive. 

He said that Haryana is procuring all 24 crops grown by farmers at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), reflecting the state's unwavering support for the farming community.He further said that during the last 12 crop procurement seasons, an amount of approximately Rs 1.80 lakh crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of around 12 lakh farmers as payment for their produce. 

Highlighting the government's efforts to promote sustainable agriculture, the Chief Minister said that the 'Natural Farming Scheme' was launched in 2022 to encourage natural farming practices across the state. A dedicated Natural Farming Portal has also been developed, on which nearly 2 lakh farmers have registered around 3 lakh acres of land. 

Of these, 23,930 farmers have been verified for adopting natural farming on approximately 44,000 acres.He said that during the year 2025-26, natural farming was practiced on 20,727 acres of land in Haryana. To further promote this farming method, dedicated training centres have been established at Gurukul, Kurukshetra; Hameti, Jind; Mangiana, Sirsa; and Gharaunda, Karnal. So far, more than 12,000 participants have received training in natural farming through these centres.

The Chief Minister said that, in collaboration with Haryana Agricultural University, a 'Smart Agriculture' initiative based on natural farming practices will be launched across a 2,000-acre cluster in Kurukshetra district. He assured farmers that the state government would compensate them for any losses incurred during the transition period.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also appealed to farmers to reduce the excessive use of urea and chemical pesticides in their fields. He emphasized that minimizing the use of such chemicals is essential to protecting human health, preserving soil fertility, and ensuring sustainable agricultural development.

Addressing the gathering, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi for releasing the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. He said that under the Prime Minister's visionary leadership, the Central Government has launched several farmer-centric schemes and programmes over the past 12 years to enhance farmers' income and make them self-reliant. Today, the benefits of these initiatives are reaching crores of farmers across the country.

The Agriculture Minister further stated that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi has accorded special priority to natural farming. Inspired by his vision and guidance, the Haryana Government is actively promoting natural farming across the state and encouraging farmers to adopt sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

He said that the adverse effects of chemical-intensive farming are becoming increasingly evident in society. Residues of pesticides and other chemical substances are entering the human body through food, posing serious health concerns. 

He emphasized the need to adopt natural farming practices to protect soil health, conserve water resources, preserve the environment, and ensure a healthier future for coming generations.He urged farmers to embrace natural farming as a sustainable alternative that not only safeguards agricultural productivity but also contributes to creating a clean, healthy, and balanced ecosystem.

Among those present on the occasion were Vice-Chairman, Haryana Shivalik Development Board Sh. Om Prakash Devinagar, District President Sh. Ajay Mittal,  Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Sh Vijyendra Kumar,  Director General Sh. Raj Narayan Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner Sh. Satpal Sharma, Media Secretary Sh. Praveen Atre and a large number of farmers.
