District Development Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of works being executed under the District Capex Budget 2026–27 and other key developmental programmes across the district.

The meeting focussed on the implementation status of Permanent Restoration Works, District Capex projects, Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA), Tribal Development initiatives, Revenue infrastructure projects and other flagship schemes.

The departments concerned presented detailed reports on the physical and financial progress of ongoing works. Reviewing the progress of Permanent Restoration Works, the District Development Commissioner directed the executing agencies to expedite project implementation and ensure timely completion.

He also reviewed projects being undertaken under DA-JGUA and Tribal Development schemes and stressed strict adherence to quality standards and prescribed timelines. The District Development Commissioner instructed all departments to prepare and submit Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for new works promptly after obtaining the requisite technical vetting.

He emphasised that no changes in the approved scope or location of projects should be made without prior approval from the competent authority. Highlighting the importance of effective resource management, the DDC directed officers to ensure the optimum utilisation of funds released for ongoing works.

He further instructed that all physically incomplete projects be completed by the end of June 2026. During the review, the District Development Commissioner also underscored the need to provide permanent infrastructure for essential public services.

He directed the departments concerned to identify suitable State land for the construction of building-less schools and Primary Health Sub-Centres, conduct field inspections and prepare DPRs at the earliest to facilitate timely execution.

The meeting also reviewed the closure of completed works on the BEAMS Portal and deliberated on measures to accelerate developmental activities aimed at improving public service delivery and strengthening infrastructure across the district.

Among those present were Additional District Development Commissioner Krishan Lal, Chief Planning Officer Narinder Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and JPDCL and other district officers.
