In a significant move to accelerate youth entrepreneurship in the district, the Mission YUVA District Level Implementation Committee Anantnag headed by District Development Commissioner (Chairman, DLIC), Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, today approved 565 cases during it's meeting held at DC Office.

ADC, GM DIC, CPO, AD Employment, DD NABARD, LDM, Employment Officer representatives from JKEDI and other officials attended the meeting. The approved 565 applications included 176 cases in wholesale and retail, 169 cases in manufacturing and service sector and 126 cases in agriculture sector, which were approved by the committee after thorough evaluation.

The beneficiaries will be provided financial assistance, capacity building, and handholding under the mission. The progress of the mission as well as the measures to be adopted to improve it further in the district were reviewed and discussed in detail.

Addressing the meeting, the DDC called Mission YUVA a "transformative flagship initiative" that is empowering youth and enabling them to become self-reliant entrepreneurs. He said that the goal is not only to provide financial support but to create a sustainable enterpreneurial ecosystem in which youth have access to training, market linkages and long-term mentorship.

He expressed confidence that the projects will act as sustainable livelihood units strengthening families and leading to a more progressive district. On the occasion, the DDC instructed all concerned departments, banks and implementing agencies to ensure time-bound sanctioning and hassle-free disbursement in favor of the approved cases.

He directed that Detailed Project Reports be completed in a time bound manner, ensuring the applications don't undergo undue delay at any level. Linking the success of Mission YUVA with sustainiblity of these ventures, the DDC stressed the need for regular monitoring besides enhancing skill set of the budding entrepreneurs so they remain informed about the current market trends and demands.

Dr. Bilal further emphasized that the Mission holds special significance for underprivileged youth, who be given proper support to establish their units and improve their socio-economic conditions. He reiterated the administration's commitment to fully support and encourage youth to avail the benefits of this flagship scheme.
