Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha candidate from Madhya Pradesh Tarun Chugh filed his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha election at the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly today. The occasion was marked by the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal, senior BJP leaders, state ministers, party office-bearers and a large number of party workers.

The filing of the nomination witnessed great enthusiasm among BJP leaders and workers. Party workers from across the state extended their best wishes to Tarun Chugh and expressed confidence in his leadership and parliamentary contribution. On the occasion, Tarun Chugh expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin and the party leadership for reposing faith in him.

He said that the confidence shown by the party in an ordinary karyakarta is both a matter of pride and a great responsibility. Recalling his long and emotional association with Madhya Pradesh, Chugh said that he had earlier worked in the state as an organisational expansion in-charge and that the opportunity to represent Madhya Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha was a matter of great honour.

Chugh remarked that the BJP is a cadre-based organisation where dedication, hard work and commitment to organisational values are always recognised. He stated that he would discharge the responsibility entrusted to him with complete sincerity, honesty and commitment.

He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is setting new benchmarks in development, good governance, welfare of the poor and self-reliance. He affirmed that he would fulfil his responsibilities in the Rajya Sabha with an unwavering commitment to national interest, public service and the ideals of the organisation.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal and senior BJP leaders conveyed their best wishes to Tarun Chugh and expressed confidence that his vast organisational experience and dedication to public service would further strengthen the voice of both Madhya Pradesh and the BJP in Parliament.
