Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal today clarified that there is no shortage of petroleum products or domestic LPG gas in district SAS Nagar and appealed to residents not to indulge in panic buying or hoarding of fuels. Chairing a meeting with sales managers and representatives of petrol pump dealers and domestic gas companies at the District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the availability and supply position of petrol, diesel and LPG cylinders across the district.

She informed that adequate stocks of petrol, diesel and LPG are available and regular supply is being maintained in all parts of the district. She directed the concerned companies and dealers to ensure uninterrupted supply and to keep strict vigil against any artificial shortage or black marketing.

Mrs Mittal appealed to the public to use fuels judiciously and avoid unnecessary rush at petrol pumps and gas agencies. She said that rumours regarding shortage of fuels should not be believed or circulated, as the administration is continuously monitoring the situation.

The Deputy Commissioner further stated that all petrol pumps and gas agencies have been instructed to maintain smooth distribution and immediately report any issue related to supply or stocking. DFSC Varinder Kumar and representatives of various petroleum and gas companies were also present during the meeting.
