Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that a grand martyrs’ memorial will be constructed at Nasibpur in Narnaul to showcase the struggle and sacrifices of Ahirwal in India’s freedom movement before the world. He said the memorial will enable more and more people to learn about the sacrifices made by the martyrs of Ahirwal.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said this while chairing a meeting at Haryana Civil Secretariat on Wednesday regarding the proposed martyrs’ memorial at Nasibpur. During the meeting, a presentation was made before him.
The Chief Minister gave detailed directions regarding the design, concept, and construction of the memorial. Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the grand memorial will be constructed over an area of 42 kanal and 10 marlas at Nasibpur.
He said the memorial will include an open-air theatre with a capacity of 500–600 people, provisions for a light and sound show, six galleries, an auditorium, an administrative block, and other related infrastructure. The Chief Minister said that the pond located within the memorial premises will also be restored and developed as an attractive feature.
A separate STP will be installed to keep the water clean. He further said that a massive national flag will be installed in the memorial complex to inspire a sense of patriotism among visitors. He directed officials to give special attention to greenery within the memorial premises and ensure adequate parking arrangements so that visitors do not face any inconvenience.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the land of Ahirwal has always served as the protective shield of Delhi and has been a land of patriotic awakening. He said that the soldiers from this region have made sacrifices not only during the freedom struggle but also in every war and battle fought before and after Independence for the protection of the motherland.
He added that the memorial will display the names of all martyrs from Ahirwal who sacrificed their lives for the nation across different periods of history. Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Sh. KM Pandurang said that a consultancy firm has already been selected to prepare an effective design and concept for the martyrs’ memorial at Nasibpur.
Giving details of the project, he said that the consultancy firm will present new design options based on the directions given by the Chief Minister and the suggestions of the committee during today’s meeting. Thereafter, construction work on the memorial will begin according to the final design approved by the Chief Minister.
Industries & Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao, Narnaul MLA Sh. Omprakash Yadav, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. Arun Gupta, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department Sh. KM Pandurang, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. Yashpal Yadav, Additional Director Captain Manish Lohan, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
