In a significant push to rural infrastructure, MLA Kulwant Singh Pandori and Chairman of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalvir Singh Dhillon, jointly inaugurated development works worth approximately ₹2.30 crore in the Sherpur area. The initiatives are aimed at strengthening basic infrastructure and improving the quality of life for local residents.
As part of the development drive, the foundation was laid for a canal water pipeline project in village Didargarh, with an estimated cost of ₹70 lakh. The project is expected to enhance irrigation facilities for farmers, ensuring better water availability and contributing to agricultural productivity.
Additionally, construction work on the Kalabulla–Katroan road, being undertaken at a cost of around ₹1.60 crore, was formally launched. Once completed, the road will significantly improve connectivity, facilitate smoother transportation, and strengthen inter-village links in the region.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Kulwant Singh Pandori emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is prioritizing balanced and inclusive rural development. He noted that continuous efforts are being made to upgrade infrastructure and ensure the delivery of essential services to every household.
Chairman Dalvir Singh Dhillon highlighted that these projects would serve as key milestones in the area’s development and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to initiating more such works in the near future. The event witnessed the presence of a large number of local members, community leaders, and residents, who welcomed the commencement of these development projects and expressed optimism about the region’s progress.
