Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan on Saturday conducted an extensive inspection of Lodgement Centres established for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 at Chichi Mata, Nonath Ashram and Diani Transit Camp in district Samba. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the arrangements being put in place for the convenience and smooth stay of the Yatris.
She inspected facilities related to sanitation, drinking water supply, power, lighting, toilets, bathing units, accommodation halls and power backup at all the designated lodgement centres. Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Singh and other concerned officers, the DC directed the stakeholder departments to ensure timely completion of all ongoing works and maintain proper coordination for hassle-free management of the Yatra arrangements.
She took stock of the civic amenities and inspected the progress of work undertaken to upgrade accommodation capacity at Chichi Mata Lodgement Centre. At Nonath Ashram, the DC inspected accommodation arrangements and directed the concerned departments to maintain uninterrupted power and water supply besides ensuring proper sanitation and cleanliness for the pilgrims.
During inspection of Diani Transit Camp, she reviewed the availability of essential facilities and instructed the officers to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well before the commencement of the Yatra.
