Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the people of Punjab had given an opportunity to the Aam Aadmi Party after becoming frustrated with the corruption during the Congress regime, but today corruption in Punjab has reached its peak. Punjab, he said, is trapped in the menace of drugs, and the Aam Aadmi Party has deceived the innocent people of Punjab by showing them false dreams. He said it is not the job of a government to promote corruption.
The Chief Minister was interacting with journalists after attending a programme in Sirsa. Responding to a question, he said that the people of Punjab are simple and innocent. While serving as Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal had shown dreams of turning Punjab into a place like Paris.
However, when the ED conducted a raid on a tower in Punjab, the huge recovery of cash exposed the so-called honest government. He said that AAP has no right to display the photograph of Shaheed Bhagat Singh because Bhagat Singh sacrificed his life to secure the future of coming generations.
Instead of becoming the Punjab of Bhagat Singh’s dreams, the state has now become synonymous with corruption and scams. He further alleged that no work gets done in tehsils and police stations without money, and that the people of Punjab are suffering.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that a double-engine government under BJP leadership in Punjab would speed up development and bring corruption under control. Referring to the schemes implemented in Haryana, he said that farmers in the state are getting MSP benefits, while the public is receiving the benefits of Ayushman Bharat and the Chirayu Yojana.
He added that people are also benefiting from solar schemes in Haryana, and these schemes would also be extended to the people of Punjab once BJP forms the government there. Replying to another question, the Chief Minister said that in line with Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s appeal regarding fuel conservation and environmental protection, Haryana has also implemented related measures and issued an SOP in this regard.
He said that the number of vehicles in his own fleet has been reduced, and officials have also been advised to conduct meetings virtually wherever possible. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the public to use public transport instead of personal vehicles whenever possible to help conserve fuel.
Referring to the current global crisis and the situation in the Middle East, he said the government has taken several steps to deal with the issue and the public should also cooperate. Responding to another question, the Chief Minister said that former Chief Minister late Sh. Bhajan Lal is highly respected, and his valuable contribution towards the development of Haryana can never be forgotten.
On a question regarding the role of a doctor in the NEET examination matter, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the entire issue is being thoroughly investigated. The government is going to the root of the matter, and no guilty person will be spared. Strict action will be taken against those found responsible.
