As part of the ongoing 100-day campaign under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, an awareness programme was today organised at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Kulgam under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various schools across the district along with officers from different departments. The event was organised with the aim of spreading awareness among youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging them to adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle.

During the programme, students presented a series of cultural performances, skits and awareness-based presentations highlighting the ill effects of substance abuse and the importance of building a drug-free society. The performances were widely appreciated by the audience for effectively conveying the message against drug addiction.

Addressing the gathering, the DC emphasised the importance of collective efforts in combating the menace of drug abuse. He urged students to act as ambassadors of change and spread awareness within their communities regarding the adverse impact of narcotics on individuals and society.

He also highlighted the significance of sports, education and constructive activities in steering youth away from substance abuse and motivating them towards a positive future. The programme concluded with a pledge by participants to support the vision of a drug-free society and actively contribute towards the success of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
