Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has emphasised that true strength lies in the judicious and restrained use of force, noting that the conduct of security personnel has strengthened public confidence in the state. Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh also acknowledged the crucial role played by the security forces in maintaining law and order and restoring peace and normalcy in Manipur.

Both the Governor and the Chief Minister attended the Investiture Ceremony for the Governor’s Unit Citation 2026 held at the Manipur State Film Development Society in Imphal. He paid tribute to the dedication, courage and exemplary service of the armed forces and security personnel who have worked continuously to uphold peace and stability in the state. Referring to the challenging situation faced by Manipur in recent years, Bhalla, a former Union Home Secretary, said the security forces had stood firm as pillars of strength while operating under demanding conditions.
