Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sh. Harvinder Kalyan said that individuals like Union Minister and former Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal are rarely seen in politics, who dedicate their lives to the welfare of all sections of society with the spirit of Antyodaya. He said the foundation of systemic change laid by Sh. Manohar Lal, in 2014, along with the change of power in Haryana, has ensured that government schemes are now reaching the last person in the queue.
He said this while launching a song titled ‘Rajneeti Ke Sant – Manohar Lal’, based on the life of Sh. Manohar Lal, at Haryana Niwas in Chandigarh, on the occasion of his birthday. A poster of the song was also unveiled on the occasion.
The song has been written by Dr. Naveen Lamba and sung by Sh. Naveen Poonia. It has been produced by LHF (Ladwa Handball Foundation). Haryana’s Industries & Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh was also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the launch, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sh. Harvinder Kalyan said that the song conveys a message about how an individual’s life should be lived. He said that when Sh. Narendra Modi assumed office at the Centre and Sh. Manohar Lal took charge in Haryana in 2014; the condition of the country and the state was not good.
However, at the national level, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, and at the state level, former Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal brought about fundamental changes in the system and ensured that the rights of the deprived sections reached them. He said that after becoming Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh. Manohar Lal eradicated corruption in jobs and transfers and implemented a transparent recruitment system along with an online transfer policy.
Before 2014, it was unimaginable for children to get jobs without “kharchi-parchi”. Due to his policies, today, children from poor families are able to secure jobs up to the HCS level without money or recommendations.
Sh. Harvinder Kalyan said that Sh. Manohar Lal established good governance in Haryana, and following his policies, the present Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini is taking the state forward. He added that the current Central and State governments will fulfill the vision of making India a developed nation.
Rao Narbir Singh said in his 40 years of political career, he has seen many governments change. He credited Sh. Manohar Lal for the way the BJP government formed in 2014 worked with the spirit of “Ek Haryana, Ek Haryanvi.”
He said that his life is a living example of a saint becoming an efficient administrator. Before 2014, people had to make rounds of Chandigarh for their children’s jobs, but after the implementation of a fair recruitment policy, hundreds of children from poor families in every village got jobs, which no one had expected.
Rao Narbir Singh said that due to some reasons, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini could not attend the programme personally, but he had sent his message. He read out the Chief Minister’s message and conveyed birthday greetings and best wishes to Sh. Manohar Lal.
On this occasion, Sarpanch Ramphal Poonia and several other dignitaries were present.
