Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma on Friday chaired the fourth review meeting of 'Raj Unnati' at the Chief Minister's Office, where he assessed the progress of development projects and schemes worth approximately Rs 23,890 crore. Expressing strong displeasure over delays, he made it clear that timely completion of projects is non-negotiable and that any form of laxity will not be tolerated.

Taking a firm stance, the Chief Minister directed that personal accountability be fixed in cases of project delays. He warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken against negligent officials. In this regard, he ordered the suspension of two employees and the issuance of a notice to one officer for negligence in grievance redressal.

To strengthen monitoring mechanisms, the Chief Minister instructed departments to hold high-level review meetings at least 15 days prior to ‘Raj Unnati’ sessions. During the meeting, it was noted that 87 proposals for Custom Hiring Centres are currently under process.

Expressing dissatisfaction over delays, he questioned why the list had not been released within the deadline and directed the Departments of Rural Development and Cooperatives to ensure swift coordination and disposal. The Chief Minister emphasised that improving air connectivity across Rajasthan remains a top priority.

He directed officials to conduct pre-feasibility studies for proposed airports at Bharatpur-Deeg, Sikar-Jhunjhunu, Abu Road, and Banswara (greenfield). He also instructed that the tender process for the Bikaner Nal Airport project be completed within the stipulated timeline in coordination with the Central Government.

Officials informed that land reversion approval has been granted and demarcation completed by the concerned departments. Reviewing the ‘Rajasthan Mandapam’ project being developed on 90 acres along Tonk Road (B2 Bypass) in Jaipur, the Chief Minister directed the preparation of a comprehensive action plan in coordination with the Industries Department, JDA, PHED, and the District Collector.

He emphasised the need to establish seamless connectivity with major roads such as Tonk Road and JLN Marg and instructed departments to expedite approvals to ensure completion within two years. He also directed the Energy Department to accelerate work on Battery Energy Storage System projects.

On the Jaipur Northern Ring Road, the Chief Minister stressed the need for time-bound execution. He directed officials to complete land acquisition by June 2026, begin construction by October 2026, and ensure project completion by January 2028. NHAI officials presented updates on ongoing progress.

The meeting also reviewed progress on MoUs under the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ initiative. The Chief Minister directed the Urban Development Department and the Housing Board to secure land for a generative AI-based innovation and skill development project in Jodhpur.

He also issued directions regarding the establishment of an Inland Container Depot and Multi-Modal Logistics Park in Jaipur under the Integrated Logistics Project. Reaffirming the government’s commitment to Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic communities, the Chief Minister highlighted the budget provision for housing schemes.

He directed officials to prepare district-wise plans and prioritise allotment to eligible families. Expressing concern over delays in projects under AMRUT 2.0, the Chief Minister stated that delays in one component adversely impact overall urban development. He directed the Chief Secretary to personally monitor the scheme’s implementation to ensure timely delivery.
