Dolphin PG College set a new benchmark in academic excellence, securing 38 medals at the convocation ceremony of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University recently held at the University Campus in Bathinda. In a significant achievement, 19 students were awarded gold medals and 19 received silver medals for outstanding performance in university examinations conducted between 2020 and 2025. 

The medal winners represented diverse disciplines, including forensic science, optometry, microbiology, radiology, operation theatre technology, and agriculture. The ceremony was presided over by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, who urged students to contribute to nation-building through emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, green energy and space technology. 

He encouraged them to become job creators and apply knowledge to real-world challenges. Among those present were Vivek Partap Singh (IAS), Principal Secretary; Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sharma VC MRSPTU; Susheel Mittal, Member BOG, & Vice-Chancellor PTU; Gurinder Pal Singh, Registrar MRS- PTU Bathinda; and Monnesh Kumar (IAS), Director Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab.

College leadership credited the success to disciplined learning, faculty dedication and a strong academic environment. Vice Chairman Vibhav Mittal said the milestone would inspire students to aim higher, while Principal Manu Jain and Dean Academics Malkit Singh praised the consistent efforts of students and staff. 

The achievement reinforces the institution’s reputation as a leading centre for higher education in the region.
