Haryana Agriculture Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana on Saturday  visited the  anaj mandi of Bass village in Hansi district, where he heard the grievances of protesting farmers at the market gate. While interacting with the farmers, he assured them that the state government is fully committed to procuring every grain of wheat at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

The Agriculture Minister said that the government has made extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth and transparent procurement process in all mandis of the state. Directions have been issued to officiers concerned to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience in the mandis, and prompt resolution of complaints is being ensured.

He assured the farmers that they need not worry, as the government is fully committed to resolving all their issues. Special efforts are being made to provide better facilities in the mandis so that the sale of their produce can take place without any disruption.

The Cabinet Minister  further informed that  the Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini himself  is visitingvarious mandis and  is reviewing the situation. Following his directions, wheat procurement and lifting operations across the state have been expedited, providing timely relief to farmers.

During the visit, the Agriculture Minister also invited the farmers for a meeting with the Chief Minister in Chandigarh. The farmers welcomed this initiative and expressed their gratitude to the Agriculture Minister for the invitation. Following the Minister’s assurance and positive intervention, the farmers ended their protest.

During the visit, the Agriculture Minister also shared tea with the farmers and, by directing officials, ensured the immediate resolution of several complaints.
