Haryana Women and Child Development Minister, Shruti Choudhry said that due to the far-sighted vision of Prime Minister, Sh.Narendra Modi, the bill for 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies is going to be passed, which will empower the 50% population of women in the country. She said that society will become more prosperous and happier under women’s leadership.
The Women and Child Development Minister said this while inetrcating with journalists on Saturday in Bhiwani. She said that granting 33% reservation to women is a historic step and will bring a major positive and revolutionary change in society. She said that women are strong in every way and have achieved success in every field.
She further said that the Opposition should also support this bill. She added that earlier there were only discussions about providing 33% reservation to women, but the Prime Minister is now turning it into a reality.She said that in the last 11 years, both the Central and State Governments have launched several schemes for women’s empowerment.
The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign has not only improved the sex ratio in the country but has also ensured a better position for women in society. Today, women are representing the public from Panchayats to the Lok Sabha and are becoming the strong voice of the nation, said the Cabinet Minister.She emphasized that respect and dignity for women is essential everywhere. Awareness campaigns have a highly positive impact on people’s mindset.
