With the sacred blessings of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj, a Women’s Congregation was organised at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Mauli Jagran. On this occasion, women devotees glorified the teachings of the Satguru through songs, thoughts, poems, skits, and cultural presentations.

On this occasion, Behan Simran Verma Ji, Preacher, Chandigarh, said that by adopting the teachings of the Satguru in life, all negative aspects find resolution. Explaining through an example, she said that often we visit a cloth shop in the market where the shopkeeper shows many varieties of clothes.

The choice of what to purchase is ours. Similarly, in today’s congregation, we listened to thoughts, songs, and other presentations from devotees, but what lesson we take with us depends on us. We should try to imbibe all the teachings received here into our lives.

She further said that if we remain humble within the Satsang but outside are filled with ego, then our condition is like that of a snake which may appear pleasant but carries poison within that can cause harm at any time. As long as we carry inner negativity such as disrespect, criticism, hatred, and failure to honor others, and do not remove this inner poison, no one can truly become our own.

The Satguru is pleased only through love. She said that by connecting us with Brahm Gyan, the Satguru transforms our negativity into positivity and brings sweetness and respectfulness into our lives.

Just as a cup of tea may be served with sugar and a spoon, but if one drinks it without stirring, the first sip will not taste sweet, whereas the last few sips will be sweet. In the same way, through service, remembrance (Simran), and Satsang, the Satguru transforms our shortcomings into virtues.

She added that true learning in Satsang happens only when one attends with heartfelt devotion, and that is when true peace is attained. Whenever we come to Satsang, we should come with positive feelings, not with a sense of lack.

Explaining why regular attendance in Satsang is important, she shared an example of a mother teaching her child. A piece of coal placed in the fire glows, but when taken out and put into ashes, it cools and returns to its original state.

When placed back into the fire, it again glows and gives warmth. Similarly, while living in the world, our minds accumulate dust in the form of criticism, gossip, and negativity.

But when we attend Satsang and receive the warmth of the saints’ words, those feelings of lack are transformed into positive emotions. She shared another example of a king who asked three questions.

The best bed is not necessarily a velvet bed; when we surrender our worries to God, we can sleep peacefully even in a forest — that is the best bed. Secondly, the most sacred water is not only that of the Ganges; whichever water quenches thirst is the best. Thirdly, although mango may be considered the sweetest fruit, the fruit of service is the sweetest of all. Its sweetness is not limited to the throat but remains forever.

She concluded by saying that while living a household life, transforming our feelings of lack into feelings of devotion by following the Satguru’s teachings is true worship. On this occasion, local Mukhi Shri Amarjeet Singh Ji expressed gratitude and thanks to Sister Simran Verma Ji, the Zonal Incharge, coordinators, Mukhis, and all the devotees who had come from nearby areas.
