Haryana’s Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Shyam Singh Rana, on Thursday, visited Saraswati Nagar grain market in Yamunanagar to review the arrival and lifting of wheat, along with other facilities.

During the visit, he issued necessary directions to officials of the Market Committee and procurement agencies. The Agriculture Minister instructed the concerned procurement agencies to ensure the swift lifting of wheat purchased in the mandi.

Assuring farmers, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana said that every grain of farmers’ produce will be procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and no farmer will be allowed to face any difficulty in selling their crops. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the state government is taking wheat procurement very seriously.

As per the Chief Minister’s directions, ministers and MLAs across the state are continuously inspecting mandis to resolve farmers’ issues, ensuring that farmers do not face any portal-related or other problems while selling their produce.

He appealed to farmers to bring their crops after properly drying them to avoid any inconvenience during sale. He also appealed to farmers and commission agents to work in coordination with the administration to resolve issues related to crop lifting. He said that crops will be procured at MSP as per the standards set by the government.

He directed concerned officials to ensure that farmers and traders in mandis are provided with essential facilities such as drinking water, toilets, cleanliness, electricity, and other amenities. He also instructed all procurement agencies to arrange for the prompt lifting of wheat purchased from mandis so that farmers can sell their produce conveniently.
