Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta today here chaired a review meeting to assess the preparations for the State-level Himachal Day function to be held at the Reckong Peo Police Ground in District Kinnaur. He directed all concerned departments to ensure timely and effective arrangements for the successful conduct of the event.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioners of all the districts joined the meeting virtually and apprised regarding the preparations being made in their concerned districts. He said that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will preside over the State-level function. 

He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts and instructed that arrangements related to security, sanitation, traffic management, drinking water, medical facilities and emergency response services be put in place well in advance. The Chief Secretary called for active public participation and directed officials to maintain close inter-departmental coordination. 

He further instructed that contingency plans be prepared to address any unforeseen situations, including adverse weather conditions. The Chief Secretary issued necessary instructions to the officers present, reviewed district-level preparedness, and directed the concerned officers to conduct regular inspections.

Director General of Police Ashok Tiwari and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
