Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse today flagged off a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) here at D.C Office Complex Kupwara. Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer Kupwara,  BMO Trehgam and other senior officials were present on the occasion.

The MMU van will commence its journey from the Medical Block, Trehgam, to launch a 100‑day Intensified Campaign under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The campaign aligns with the national effort to achieve TB elimination through targeted, technology‑driven interventions and community outreach.

The initiative focuses on proactive screening, awareness generation, and support for TB patients, including the use of AI‑enabled handheld X‑ray devices and community engagement through Ayushman Arogya Shivir and Ni-Kshay Mitra programs. The campaign aims to strengthen TB elimination efforts across the district and contribute to the national “TB Mukt Bharat” goal.
