The Congres paid heartfelt tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar on their martyrdom day. A programme was organized at Sarabha Nagar under the leadership of former President of District Congress Committee, Ludhiana (Urban) and former Chairman of Punjab Large Industrial Development Board, Pawan Diwan.

Party leaders remembered the sacrifices made by these great martyrs for the country’s freedom. Addressing the gathering, Dewan recalled the unparalleled sacrifices of the martyrs and said that it is because of their great contributions that we are able to breathe in an atmosphere of freedom today.

He said that this day reminds us of the supreme sacrifices made by Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, who, at a young age, showed immense courage and patriotism, raised their voice against British rule and laid down their lives for India’s independence. Dewan emphasized that our great martyrs have taught us that standing for truth and justice is the greatest act of courage. Following the path shown by them would be the true tribute to their legacy.

On this occasion, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) member Sushil Malhotra, senior Congress leaders Inderjit Kapoor, Gurnam Singh Kler, Kulbir Neeta, Jaswinder Singh Osahan, Varun Sharma, Satish Garg, Nirbhay Singh Ranguwal, Prabhjot Singh, and Varinder Sharma were also present.
