The district unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Patiala, today lodged a strong protest during the visit of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at the Kisan Bhawan in Samana. A large number of party workers gathered at the venue, waving black flags and raising slogans such as “Saini Go Back,” “Release Punjab’s Rural Development Fund,” and “Release ₹1600 crore for flood-affected areas,” expressing their anger against the centre's injustice towards Punjab.

The protest was led by MLA Chetan Singh Jauramajra, District President and Chairman of the District Planning Committee Tejinder Mehta and constituency in-charge Gulzar Singh Virk. Addressing the gathering, AAP leaders accused the BJP government of consistently denying Punjab its rightful dues.

They demanded the immediate release of Punjab’s pending Rural Development Fund (RDF) and ₹1600 crore for flood-affected regions, stating that the delay is causing significant hardship to the state and its people. Several other party leaders and workers, including constituency in-charge Pardeep Josan, Kundan Gogia, District President of the Education Wing Gurdev Tiwana, SC Wing District President Dharam Pal Nahar, along with Shankar Jindal, Gopal Krishan, and Trade Commission Samana Chairman Raju Chhabra, also participated in the protest.

Along with them Amardeep Sanghera, District President (Youth Wing); Gurdev Tiwana, Zila Parishad Member; Sandeep Jhandi, Youth In-charge (Samana); Deepak Badhwa; Kuljeet Randhawa; Ravi Randhawa; Raman Deep Sharma; Kamaljeet Khanpur Gadian; Maninder Dakala; Gopal Krishan Bittu; Sunaina Mittal; MC Jassi Kheda Jatta; and many Sarpanches of Samana villages were also present. AAP leaders warned that if Punjab’s rightful funds are not released at the earliest, the party will intensify its agitation in the coming days.
