Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Minister, Smt. Shruti Choudhry informed the House that the government has put in place a rotational programme to ensure the supply of water in canals across the state. She said that regular repair and desilting works are carried out to make sure water reaches even the tail ends of every canal.

Responding to a question during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday, she said that water is being supplied efficiently in the Balak Minor, Rana Distributary, Burak Sub Minor, Bandaheri Sub Minor, Kabir Minor and Balsamand Minor in the Adampur Assembly constituency.

The Minister further said that there is a shortage of water at the tail end of Basra Sub Minor No. 2 in the Adampur area. She added that the government had earlier decided to repair its main source, the Balsamand Sub Minor, and once the work is completed, water will reach the far end of the channel as well.
