Haryana Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Sh. Rajesh Nagar has said that the supply of petrol, diesel and domestic LPG in the state is completely normal. He warned that strict action will be taken against mischievous elements spreading rumours and attempting black marketing even amid war-like situations emerging in the Middle East.

The Minister of State said that the general public should not pay attention to rumours. In an important letter issued on March 9, 2026, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, New Delhi, provided necessary guidelines regarding ensuring adequate supply, proper and equitable distribution and availability of domestic LPG for priority sectors. In compliance with these directions, the Haryana Government has taken all necessary steps with immediate effect.

At present, the supply of petrol, diesel and domestic LPG across Haryana is running smoothly. Major oil companies—Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)—have adequate stock available. In addition, the supply of LPG is being received continuously, ensuring that consumers do not face any shortage.

Sh. Nagar said that the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department of Haryana is working vigilantly to strengthen the uninterrupted supply chain of the Central Government and meet the needs of consumers. Department officials are monitoring the situation round the clock to maintain complete coordination between demand and supply.

He assured that there will be no shortage of cooking gas or petrol and diesel in the state. However, there has been a temporary disruption in the supply of commercial cylinders, which will also be resolved soon. This temporary disruption is influenced by global conditions, but oil companies are continuously working to overcome it.

On a priority basis, the supply of commercial cylinders is being ensured to educational institutions, hospitals and establishments associated with other essential services. Special teams have been formed to normalise the remaining distribution, and the situation is expected to come under full control soon.

The Minister of State said that the government’s primary objective is to ensure that every household has adequate access to cooking gas and that vehicle engines continue to run smoothly. With the cooperation of the Central Government, a strong distribution network has been developed at the state level, which includes more than 5,000 distributors. Through them, lakhs of cylinders are being distributed daily.

Sh. Nagar said that to effectively curb theft, black marketing or unauthorised distribution, strict instructions have been issued to all Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and District Food and Supply Controllers across the state. These instructions include launching special drives, daily reporting of stock and prompt redressal of consumer complaints.

The department has kept the helpline number 1967 active where consumers can register their complaints. The Minister also appealed to the public not to pay attention to rumours circulating through social media or other platforms regarding the supply of LPG or petroleum products.

He urged citizens to avoid unnecessary panic and hoarding, as it can create artificial shortages in the market.
